Master of Science in Environmental Engineering (ENVE)
Environmental engineering is a key component in Institute-wide initiatives in bioengineering, bioscience and biotechnology, nanotechnology, materials science and technology, sustainable technology and development, environmental science and technology, and energy-water-food systems.
The multi-disciplinary credentials of our faculty, our state-of-the-art research facilities, and extensive collaborations with other engineering and science faculty all combine to attract high-caliber students from a variety of disciplines.
The Master of Science in Environmental Engineering program is also offered at Georgia Tech Shenzhen. "I have not been able to experience the program at GTSI in person due to COVID, but in all my meetings with the professors and faculty, everyone has been extremely kind and helpful. They will always do whatever they can to ensure you are being helped to the best of their extent. I hope to be able to visit in person whenever I can."

“The study at GTSI is very intensive and therefore requires a lot of pre-reading and review work. Class sizes here at GTSI is small, so we can interact with professors in a more timely manner to have problems solved. The campus is equipped with a gym, a dance studio, and a multi-functional activity center for students to spend leisure time, and I had so much fun in our student activities such as the Mid-Autumn Festival gathering and Halloween party.”

“What impresses me the most here are the three good qualities: considerate faculty members, friendly classmates and nice environment. The faculty members have given me great help in my studies. For instance, Prof. Zhang goes out of the way to arrange some extracurricular one-on-one sessions for me.
After spending some time with my schoolmates in and out of the classroom, we’ve gotten to know each other better and often discuss academic topics at the campus cafeteria. I feel so fortunate to make good friends with students from different majors and backgrounds.
As the saying goes, we should balance work and leisure. So, in addition to studying, we played billiards and participate in many club activities. Although GTSI only occupies a small area in the hi-tech park, it has almost everything I need. The brilliant campus environment can be attributed to the endeavors of administrative staff, student union and the heads of various clubs. I sincerely thank them for their dedication and supports. All in all, it is a great fortune to be a member of Environmental Engineering.”
