Master of Science in Environmental Engineering (ENVE)

Environmental engineering is a key component in Institute-wide initiatives in bioengineering, bioscience and biotechnology, nanotechnology, materials science and technology, sustainable technology and development, environmental science and technology, and energy-water-food systems.

The multi-disciplinary credentials of our faculty, our state-of-the-art research facilities, and extensive collaborations with other engineering and science faculty all combine to attract high-caliber students from a variety of disciplines.

The Master of Science in Environmental Engineering program is also offered at Georgia Tech Shenzhen. As part of the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Georgia Tech, the MS Environmental Engineering Program welcomes applicants from all over the world as well as exchange students from Georgia Tech's main campus.

Degree Requirement and Study-Plan Tracks

The MS Environmental Engineering requires 30 credit hours beyond a Bachelor of Science. Students are expected to complete in 3-4 semesters.

To further enhance students' global experiences, students have the option to exchange between Atlanta and Shenzhen. 

Admission Requirements

1. Completion of the online application;

2. Hold the equivalent of a Chinese or overseas full-time bachelor’s degree earned at a regionally accredited institution;

3. Applicants must meet either one of the English proficiency requirements below:

  • TOEFL: Total score ≥90; each section ≥ 19
  •  IELTS: Total score ≥7.0; Reading ≥6.5, Listening ≥ 6.5, Speaking ≥ 6.5, Writing ≥ 5.5
